Something rather special. Two great names-Robert Heritage as designer, and Archie Shine as maker. Add the best Brazilian rosewood and a hidden electric hotplate and the result is a fairly extraordinary piece. Everything about this sideboard oozes quality and luxury. I can't imagine what this would have cost in it's day.
Even the inside of the cupboards are Rosewood finished, as is the back!
I would guess this sideboard is from the 1970s.
Really nice, unrestored condition. Some scratches and marks, but nothing of particular note.
The hot plate/ warming plate works and will be PAT safety tested before shipping. £1200.
I do like to keep stock that is a rare, unusual or a little out of the ordinary. These two chairs are certainly that.
A relatively recent design by Canadian Patty Johnson. They are made by Mabeo in Botwsana. The clean lines of western design mix well with a clear African influence. These are full chairs - 62cm wide x 53cm deep x 66cm high. Seat height is 38cm.Very few of these appear on the market. They are in good, lightly used condition.
£195 each or £365 the pair.
This piece makes a wonderful, relatively compact desk, perfect for using with a laptop. The four drawers provide plenty of storage. An extremely elegant design, this would have originally been a dressing table (I still have the mirror, should you like to convert it back). The top has been refinished, and the rest cleaned and polished. The walnut finish is glorious. Younger's were a top quality, British producer, working with top designers like John Herbert.
A lovely, practical piece of very well made furniture. 153cm wide x 45cm deep x 68cm high. £365.
A good honest set of these ever popular Ercol chairs. These four in very nice, unrestored condition. Elm seats and Beech spindles and legs. Early, Blue Label editions. Sorry SOLD
Usually attributed to Soren Georg Jensen, son of the founder of danish jewellers Georg Jensen, this fabulous design, is in fact, by Holger Georg Jensen, who designed several pieces in the Kubus range. 1960s Bramin sideboard designed by HW Klein. Made in Denmark. Excellent quality. Lovely detailing of the handles.
Deep, rich, reddish finish, which I think is Rosewood or Mahogany. Good overall condition. Half a London price! £495.
